The Permits Division promotes a diverse, business-friendly, and sustainable community with clean, safe and strong neighborhoods while being Professional, Fair and Consistent as we administer the City Code.  Please note that some licenses and registrations (e.g. Rental Licensing, Lodging Facilities, Vacant Structures, Unattended Donation Bins) are processed by the Neighborhood Services Division of the Department of Housing and Community Development.

Note:  as of January 1, 2026, requests for inspections for trade permits (Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing) shall be made through the City's online inspection request portal.
