Bulk Trash Collection

This program is designed to give residents of the City of Hagerstown an inexpensive and convenient option to dispose of bulky items otherwise not being picked up by regular trash service. The bulk trash collections are made on the first (1st) and third (3rd) Wednesday of every month.

All items must be placed by the sidewalk no later than 7:00 am on the scheduled day of collection but no earlier than 4:00 pm the evening prior to the collection. Collection will take place between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm the day of.

Items collected: Furniture, appliances, scrap metal, small amounts of wood, paneling and drywall, water heaters, tires etc.  Please note we require all mattresses to be wrapped in plastic.

Items not collected: Batteries, paint, pesticides, automotive parts, items containing gasoline, oil or propane, household trash or yard waste. 

Cost: The cost is $25.00 per large item or per scoop of misc. items, a scoop is the bucket of a front end loader (an area approximately 2 feet wide x 2 feet high x 7 feet long). Exact cost will be calculated as you complete the online form.
