What's Happening in Hagerstown

From upcoming events to the latest decisions from the Mayor and City Council, the Communications office utilizes new communications strategies and resources to enhance the City’s image and effectively engage our citizens. The City uses its website, social media, news releases, the government cable channel, and outside advertising to share information with our citizens and to tell the stories of positive developments across the City. These outlets provide our residents with greater access to information about  the services and opportunities available through the City.

The City’s Communications Manager functions as the Public Information Officer and is responsible for overseeing relations with media outlets and processing requests for documents under Maryland’s Public Information Act.
