The City of Hagerstown is preparing for application to the Maryland State Arts Council for the redesignation of the Hagerstown Arts & Entertainment (A&E) District.  We are sharing resources on this page for our citizens, artists, arts organizations and community stakeholders to be informed.

Community Input and Listening Sessions 

Two sessions are scheduled for 

  • Tuesday, January 25 from 10-11:30 am at the BuroBox at 60 W. Washington Street
  • Thursday, January 27 from 5-6:30 pm by Zoom (email DCED@hagerstownmd.org for the Zoom link)

Public Hearing

The Mayor and City Council Public Hearing for the Redesignation of the Hagerstown Arts & Entertainment District is scheduled for:

  • Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 7:00 pm
  • City Hall, 2nd Floor Council Chambers
  • 1 E. Franklin Street, Hagerstown, MD  21740
