If you are a regular, full-time employee or a regular, part-time employee working 30 or more hours per week, you are eligible to enroll in your choice of medical plans offered by the City. For more information on these options, please click on the menu to the left.
The following family members are eligible for coverage under the City's medical benefits:
- Legal spouse
- Dependent child(ren) up to age 26
Medical benefits for new hires begin on the first day of employment.
If you have medical coverage with another provider, you may opt out of medical coverage from the City. By opting out of coverage, you can receive an opt-out credit on your paycheck. To elect this option, please see the Human Resources Department to complete the necessary forms and provide proof of your current medical coverage.
Changes to your coverage options may be made during the annual Open Enrollment period, or after a qualifying life event. Qualifying life events must be reported to the Human Resources Department within 30 days of the event in order to make changes to your coverage.
