Historic City Farmers' Market New Guidelines & Updated Application

The City of Hagerstown has released the new guidelines and updated vendor application recently approved by the Mayor and Council for Historic City Farmers’ Market. New vendors are invited to apply for booth space, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The new guidelines and updated application can found on the City website at; or, copies can be obtained by calling the Community Events Coordinator at 301-739-8577, ext. 116.

The major change to the previous guidelines is that the Market is now rent-free. In addition, the new guidelines spell out the specific types of items that can be sold at the Market. They consist of locally-grown agricultural products, locally-baked goods, locally-made artisan food, locally-prepared ready-to-eat food, and handcrafted arts and craft items. The Historic City Farmers’ Market is located at 25 West Church Street and is open Saturdays year-round from 6am-2pm.

There are currently 24 vendors at the Market offering the following products: seasonal produce, home-baked cakes, cookies, and cinnamon rolls, one-of-a-kind cutting boards, handcrafted home décor, handmade soap, plants, toys, furniture, and hot-off-the-grill breakfast and lunch. The Valley Co-op also calls the Market home, providing locally-sourced meats, cheeses, honey, and produce.
