The City of Hagerstown has long been referred to as the “Hub City” because of its location as the intersection of numerous transportation routes that run to and through it.  When looking at Hagerstown on the map, the convergence of the transportation routes appear to resemble spokes of a wheel with the City at the central “hub” where they meet.  Railroad Heritage Days at the City Park Train Hub and Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum is the event through which all participants are encouraged to learn, discover, and explore more of the Hub City’s rich railroading history.
