Work crews from Henson & Son, Inc. will be restoring utility trenches and installing new concrete sidewalks along Wyoming Avenue as part of a Columbia Gas project. Given the extent of the work, the street must be temporarily closed to traffic to allow the contractor the necessary space to complete the work. Therefore, beginning at 7:30 AM on Monday, March 13th, Wyoming Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Salem Avenue and Marshall Street. Motorists will be required to detour around the closure via other City streets, and will encounter cones, barricades, and other traffic control devices. The work is expected to be completed by 4:00 PM, at which time the street will be reopened to traffic. This closure will be repeated each weekday until approximately March 27th.
Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this section of Wyoming Avenue while the repair work is being performed, but will be able to respond to service calls in that block.
