The City of Hagerstown Parks & Recreation Division has just what you need to get you outside and ensure your physical and mental good health: the 4th annual Parks Fitness Challenge! The Parks Fitness Challenge opens in early June, but you can register anytime this summer through August 31.

Registration includes a souvenir sticker, pedometer, and a chance to win great prizes! Sample challenge adventures include: walking the trails at our City parks, completing the Hub City Bike Loop, sharing a selfie of you enjoying one of our parks, locating unique historical landmarks, using an ordinary park bench or playground swing to get a full body workout, and participating in surprise scavenger hunts along the way.

The Parks Fitness Challenge is accommodating to any age and any fitness level, from beginner to advanced. There are many adventures from which to choose and participants can select activities that fit their interests best. The activities can be done in any order, at your own pace, and by following the Adventure Map provided to all registrants. Adventures will be shared online through our website and private Facebook page. Entry fees are as follows:

• $5/individual, Activity #6936

• $15/group of 4, Activity #6937
