IMAGINE Hagerstown Fourth Friday: The Reagan Years
Friday, May 26, 2023
Live music at University Plaza! Join us at the first IMAGINE Hagerstown event of 2023!
The Reagan Years was the largest drawing act on the 2019 Imagine Concert series and deemed a success by The Herald Newspaper article. The band's saxophonist, Scott Benford, lives and teaches music in Hagerstown. One of The Reagan Year's male singers held the lead role in the touring edition of Rock Of Ages musical.
The Reagan Years recreates the sounds of the 1980s! Talented musicians with very diverse vocal abilities enable this group to replicate the pop, rock, new wave and heavy metal hits of the MTV era. Artists covered include: Bon Jovi, Madonna, Def Leppard, Whitney Houston, Joan Jett, Whitesnake, Duran Duran, Foreigner, Men At Work, INXS, Bruce Springsteen, and many more. The band covers all the mega-artists and you will sing along to every song!
Since 1996, The Reagan Years has been delighting sold out audiences throughout the East Coast and entertaining corporate events as far away as Hawaii and foreign countries such as Spain, Germany and Panama. The Reagan Years has pioneered the 80's multi-band tribute concept. Often imitated; never replicated.
Wild Whispers is a harmony-driven folk pop duo formed in western Maryland by lifelong musicians Eli Lev and Megan Leigh. After meeting on Instagram, the pair connected through music and songwriting by finding a unique blend of acoustic guitar, percussion, and vocal harmonies. Compared to Of Monsters and Men, The Civil Wars, and The Lumineers, Wild Whispers are bringing their own brand of cinematic pop harmonies to audiences worldwide.
Bring your own chair, food, and drinks.
Please note: Event-goers are permitted to bring their own alcohol in non-breakable containers into University Plaza during the event. Open containers of alcohol are not to be taken outside of the Plaza. Imagine Hagerstown is supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council (msac.org) and the Washington County Arts Council and is proudly based in Hagerstown’s Arts & Entertainment District.
