Aerial Fitness, Flow & Stretch
Class dates: 
Fridays, 7-8:15pm, &
Sundays, 1:30-2:45pm
This aerial fitness class uses suspended hammock apparatus to utilize the concepts of aerial yoga to assist in increasing flexibility and strength throughout the whole body. Class starts with soothing sound bowl meditation, and eases into a wonderful stretching flow experience with some strength training to tone & lengthen the muscles. Some guided inversions will occur. 75-minute class, $20/person

This aerial fitness class uses the suspended hammock apparatus to create different poses and shapes with the body. Practice restoring balance, building strength, and increasing flexibility. Most importantly, have fun in the air while building confidence and inner trust.  Hour class, $15/person. 
Belly Dance Technique & Choreography

Belly Dancing is a great way to have fun, meet new people, and discover new muscles! 
This class will teach dance posture, isolations, shimmies, and traveling steps all combined into a short choreography.  Belly dance improves flexibility and is gentle on the knees and ankles making it appropriate for individuals of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. Hybrid class available in person, or virtually. No previous dance experience is necessary! Led by Aleesa Banzhoff Qetesh. Ages 16+ (ages 8+ w/supervising adult). $80/8-wks.

Chinese Brush Calligraphy Basics
Thursdays, 6-7pm

Learn the basics of Chinese brush calligraphy. Use traditional brush and ink on paper to learn style techniques, basic stroke order, and to produce written Chinese language characters. Instructor: Vernon Medeiros. $40/6-wks.

Get certified to administer CPR and First Aid, valid for two years.  Learn skills to respond with appropriate life-saving action to care for victims of medical emergencies and injuries. Certification provided in partnership with Mid-Atlantic Emergency & Safety Consultants, LLC.  $50/person.

Embody Yoga Series

Yoga is a journey of self that brings many physical, mental, and emotional benefits. Through Yoga postures, mindfulness, and breathing techniques, we are able to naturally lower stress and anxiety, learn how to find calm in our busy lives, and reduce our chances of lifestyle diseases, such as hypertension. This series with Michelle Grimes encompasses Yoga postures to build strength, mobility, and flexibility, as well as proper breathing techniques to improve overall health and well-being. Deep relaxation, mindful movement, and breath awareness, will be included in every class! $115/returning students /100 milers/etc.$140/new student.

Gymnastics is a fun and exciting way for your child to develop coordination, strength, and flexibility, while also improving focus, discipline, and self-confidence. The goal of the class is for students to learn basic skills and progressions on vault, bars, beam and floor, while having fun and improving fitness. Coach Paula has been coaching a variety of ages and ability levels for 13 years (including 48 state, 8 regional, and 1 national champions) and she loves sharing her passion for gymnastics with young athletes. $65/4-wks.

Zumba with Chanda T. at the Fit Room- an hour of the fun, cardio, dancing workout! Cardio to the electric music of Latino flare features the core rhythms merengue, salsa, cumbia, and reggaeton.  $10/class.

Many classes are now offered virtually & outdoors!

 Click the 4-digit activity number to enroll for virtual programs (by 3 pm the day the class starts), and you will be sent an invitation by email with a link to join the digital meeting, from the safety and comfort of your own home. If you enroll for a virtual program later than 3 pm, you will find meeting invitation links in your receipt notes, emailed to you automatically when enrollment is complete.

We have a fit for you and your family! Offering virtual and outdoor programs fit for you! Indoor programs are held at the Fit Room at Fairgrounds Park (532 N. Cannon Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21740) unless otherwise noted in program description. Enroll for programs online by clicking on the four-digit activity number listed below; hyperlinks take you to ActiveNet, our secure online registration portal. Registration is required for all series and one-day activities at least 24 hours in advance of program start date unless noted in program description; programs must meet minimum enrollment levels.
