Parking Division

Responsibilities & Services

The Parking Division of the Department of Public Works oversees the City of Hagerstown’s two public parking garages, seven public parking lots, metered on-street parking, and five city owned neighborhood parking lots. This includes all maintenance, upkeep, revenue collection, and enforcement for the entire Parking System. We maintain 600-plus spaces in our garages, 700-plus spaces in our public lots, hundreds of on-street metered spaces in our downtown, and many smaller, neighborhood lots throughout the city.

No matter what brings you to downtown Hagerstown, the staff of the Parking Division is committed to providing you with convenient parking options; whether it is in one of our well lit parking garages, a public parking lot, or a space on the street. We hope you enjoy your visit to our Downtown!

Free Parking

The City of Hagerstown will once again be offering free parking in both parking decks over the holiday season. Parking will be free from 5 pm Friday through 6 am Monday each and every weekend through the month of December and the first week of January. Regular rates apply all other times.

As always, parking is free on street and in the lots at all metered spaces from 5 pm daily until 9 am the following morning and all weekend long.
Free parking on weekends in the decks will begin Friday, November 16th at 5 pm and end Monday, January 7th at 6 am.
