The Parking Division of the Department of Public Works oversees the City of Hagerstown’s two public parking garages, seven public parking lots, metered on-street parking, and five city owned neighborhood parking lots. This includes all maintenance, upkeep, revenue collection, and enforcement for the entire Parking System. We maintain 600-plus spaces in our garages, 700-plus spaces in our public lots, hundreds of on-street metered spaces in our downtown, and many smaller, neighborhood lots throughout the city.
No matter what brings you to downtown Hagerstown, the staff of the Parking Division is committed to providing you with convenient parking options; whether it is in one of our well lit parking garages, a public parking lot, or a space on the street. We hope you enjoy your visit to our Downtown!
++All City Offices have been closed per the current Declaration of Emergency by the Mayor. The parking decks are still open to the public and staff is still on site to assist you should you require it. They have been instructed to provide verbal assistance only and will have minimal contact. We have also cut back the hours that staff will be physically on site at the garages. You can always push any of the Help buttons and someone will be available to assist you over the phone. Parking staff is keeping all the surfaces of the ticket spitters, pay stations, elevators, and stairway railings clean throughout the day for your protection.
Again, both parking decks are still open to the public 24/7 at this time. It is always subject to change and please check back or call if you have any questions or concerns.++
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we all work together to keep each other safe and healthy for the duration of the emergency.
