City Center Tree Lighting - Monday, November 23, 2020, 5-6 pm
LIVESTREAM EVENT ONLY
Music, Santa, and of course, the lighting of the tree all livestreamed via Facebook (@HagerstownDCED).

Hollyfest - This event has been cancelled in 2020
Student and youth performance groups come together for a seasonal performance at the Maryland Theatre. No tickets required. Info: kclark@hagerstownmd.org

Christkindl Markt - This event has been cancelled in 2020.
Join Main Street Hagerstown for the Christkindl Markt, a German Christmas shopping tradition. Come celebrate Hagerstown’s cultural heritage with a German shopping experience in the heart of downtown to kick off the holiday season. Christkindl Markt

Krumpe's Donut Drive-by - December 31, 2020, 7-10 am
In lieu of the evening Donut Drop, the Maryland Theatre welcomes people to drive down South Potomac Street to pick up a donut and coffee and bid 2020 farewell.

Show your school colors while you race through downtown! This route includes some University System landmarks as well as the Cultural Trail!

Speeding cyclists spin around the City Center’s A&E District.

Miss Maryland Pageant
Come to the Maryland Theatre to watch Maryland’s best as they vie for the title of Miss Maryland and Miss Maryland’s Outstanding Teen. The Miss Maryland/Miss Maryland Outstanding Teen Pageants are official preliminaries to Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competitions, the world’s largest scholarship organization for women.

Fireworks at Fairgrounds Park – July 4, 2021
Free to the public! 30 minutes of spectacular fireworks begin at 9:30 pm. Check with Hagerstown Parks Department in 2020 to see if this event is happening as scheduled.

No alcoholic beverages. No personal fireworks. No pets (only service animals permitted).

Hagerstown Hopes Pride Festival - July 17, 2021
Live entertainment, vendors, speakers, food, and more. Come out and show your support of the LGBTQ+ community whether you're gay, bi, lesbian, trans, questioning, or straight. Krumpe’s Donut Alley 5K 
A 5K race that raises funds for the Wounded Warrior project.

Augustoberfest
This beloved festival celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2021! A Hagerstown tradition! Celebrate the City’s German heritage with traditional Bavarian entertainment and food. This event helps raise scholarship funds to send exchange students to our sister city – Wesel, Germany. 

Summer Slide
A wet and slippery way to beat the heat of a Hagerstown August afternoon! Slide down Baltimore Street from Prospect to Walnut and enjoy a summer thrill!

SEPTEMBER

Hagerstown Gridiron Championship Classic
The Annual Hagerstown Gridiron Championship Classic between the Rebels of South Hagerstown High School and the Hubs of North Hagerstown High School. At the end of the game, the Mayor will present the perpetual trophy to the winning team to be kept at their school throughout the year.

The Boys & Girls Club of Washington County's exhilarating event! Rappel off the Alexander House and raise money for a great cause!

Ghost Tours of Historic Hagerstown
Learn about the haunted sites of downtown Hagerstown, by wagon or on foot. Mysterious noises, Civil War stories, skeletons unearthed. Spooky! Ghost Tours at Historic Hagerstown

City Wide Trick-Or-Treat 
6:00pm to 8:00 pm throughout the City of Hagerstown

Spooky Sprint 
Nothing like a 2-mile run (or walk) before the annual Mummer’s Parade!

Alsatia Mummer’s Parade
An annual Hagerstown tradition since 1921 with somewhere in the neighborhood of 70,000 people convening for the festivities.
