Fireworks at Fairgrounds Park | July 4, 2022
Free to the public! 30 minutes of spectacular fireworks begin at 9:30 pm. Check with the Department of Parks & Recreation to see if this event is happening as scheduled. No alcoholic beverages. No personal fireworks. No pets (only service animals permitted).

Alsatia Mummer’s Parade
An annual Hagerstown tradition since 1921 with somewhere in the neighborhood of 70,000 people convening for the festivities.
City Wide Trick-Or-Treat
Families who choose to participate in Trick or Treat this year are asked to do on October 31, 6-8 pm. This will help your friends, neighbors, motorists and the police know when to expect extra pedestrians and visitors to your homes. Participation and scheduling is entirely up to each family. The City will not suggest a rain date in the event of inclement weather or public health issue. It is perfectly acceptable to opt-out and not participate. We ask each family to determine what is best for them.

City Center Tree Lighting
Music, Santa, and of course, the lighting of the tree!
Holly Fest
Student and youth performance groups come together for a free seasonal performance at the Maryland Theatre. No tickets required.

Christkindl Markt
The Christkindl Markt is a Christmas shopping experience in the German tradition. Come celebrate Hagerstown’s cultural heritage in the heart of downtown with great shopping and delicious food and beverage.
Krumpe's Donut Drop - December 31, 2022 5-7 pm
The Maryland Theatre welcomes people Public Square to celebrate the coming of the New Year! Watch the giant donut descend, enjoy some Krumpe's Donuts, and dance in the streets!
