Rehabilitation Loans
Part of the City of Hagerstown’s commitment to revitalization, which involves the
Department of Community Development administration and promoting the following programs to assist income qualified homeowners and landlords to rehabilitate homes:
- Emergency Repairs: The City of Hagerstown has emergency repair grants available to qualified homeowners. An "emergency repair" is defined as a situation that is life threatening or when a situation prohibits someone from living in a decent, safe, and sanitary condition.
- Lead Paint Grants: The City of Hagerstown administers the Maryland Lead Hazard Reduction Grant Program. Grants are available to qualified homeowners to minimize lead paint hazards. Contact our offices for more information.
- Multi-Unit Rehabilitation: Affordable multi-unit improvement loans are available to property owners with income qualified tenants to make interior and exterior repairs to their property.
- Single Family Rehabilitation: Affordable home improvement loans are available to qualified homeowners to make interior and exterior repairs to their property.
