Water and Wastewater:
The City of Hagerstown Utilities Department Water and Wastewater Engineering staff is responsible for:

  • Review and approval of development plans.
  • Permits and inspections for water and wastewater projects.
  • Design supervision of capital improvement projects and coordination with the City engineering staff.
  • Administration of the master planning for the City's water, and wastewater systems.

Electrical:
The City of Hagerstown Light Department (HLD) Engineering staff is responsible for the design, review, and approval of electrical service, distribution, and sub-transmission designs as well as maintaining the electrical grid to meet federal regulations.
