Free Programmable Thermostat Installation! Save Energy Heating & Cooling Your Home
HOW TO QUALIFY:
Be a current Hagerstown Light Department electric customer in good standing.
Own your home.
Have a total household income less than $72,850.00
Have an existing, working, non-programmable whole house thermostat.
Have gas, oil, or electric heat AND a central electric cooling system.

Ask about the Free Programmable Thermostat Installation.
We will ask you a few questions to determine you’re qualifications.
If all qualifications are met, you will be entered into the selection process and will be contacted for
installation if selected.
Installations to be completed by a certified and licensed Electrical/HVAC contractor. Applicants will be required to
sign a contract for installation. This program is made possible by the Maryland Energy Administration’s EmPOWER Maryland
Clean Energy Communities Grant program. HLD will select qualified applicants on a first-come first-serve basis until
grant funds are exhausted or by May 1, 2011.
