CRIME DATA AND INTELLIGENCE ANALYST
CITY OF HAGERSTOWN
POLICE DEPARTMENT
SALARY $37,897.60 - $41,683.20
Under the direction of the Chief of Police, The Crime Analyst will perform duties related to analyzing criminal activity and intelligence in order to identify crime trends and crime series, forecast future criminal activity, and provide useful data and information to authorized law enforcement personnel, parole and probation agents, the State’s Attorney, and other authorized personnel.
Candidates must possess an Associates Degree or higher (with an emphasis in math and statistics), crime analysis course work, and/or previous law enforcement experience preferred. Candidates are asked to provide a copy of the college transcripts if applicable. Familiarity with computers and related software. 1-3 years experience in field of statistical and/or crime analysis preferred. This position requires the completion of internal and external crime analysis training as determined by the employer; this may include crime analysis certification. Starting salary commensurate with education and experience.

WATER TREATMENT OPERATOR I, II, III, IV
CITY OF HAGERSTOWN
$32,157 - $56,389
Work involves performing a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants. Work is performed under the general direction and supervision of the division Superintendent or supervisors, including more senior treatment operators. Operators are responsible for making decisions affecting plant processes in accordance with recommended Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and general guidelines to assure plant operation meets all Federal and State quality standards. Provides direction for subordinate operators and other assigned personnel.
Level I requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Must achieve Level II requirements within three (3) years. One (1) year experience related to functions of the position and must have a valid vehicle operator’s license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with City policy. Level II requirements include Level I requirements plus satisfactory job performance. Two (2) years experience related to functions of the position and receive passing score on MDE certification examination for Water & Wastewater Operators, (T4) Water Treatment. Level III requirements include Level II requirements plus satisfactory job performance. Three (3) years experience related to functions of the position. Obtain and maintain MDE Water & Wastewater Operator Certification, (T4). Applicants with previous exp. and appropriate licenses may be hired above the Operator I level. Excellent benefits package. Minimum 70% grade on pre-employment test.
