PARKING SYSTEM ATTENDANT – PART TIME
$8.00/HOUR – UP TO 29 HOURS/WEEK

The City of Hagerstown Public Works Department has a current opening for a Part Time Parking System Attendant.

This is a highly visible position assisting customers at the parking decks and maintaining the sidewalks in City Center. Duties include but are not limited to providing guidance to parking deck customers, directions and information to visitors, collection and cash handling at the decks for special events, operate powered cleaning equipment. Clean and maintain sidewalks, walkways, landscaped areas, curbs, gutters, storm drain grates, and parking decks. Employee will operate a powered vacuum/sweeper machine and other power cleaning equipment. Assist in other routine cleaning, weeding, and snow removal. Operate Windows based computer to review parking system operations.

This position requires flexible availability to work any shift including overnights, weekends, and special events.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have one or more years in customer service and/or public custodial service. Customer service experience preferred with computer operating experience. A valid vehicle operator’s license is preferred but not necessary.
