How to obtain a police report

Requests for copies of reports must be made in writing to the police department.

To request a police report, please provide specific basic information, such as time, date, report number, location and type of incident, click Police Report Request Form . Mail your request and payment as outlined below.

The cost is $5.00 per report, up to four pages. Additional pages will be charged $.25 per page. If there are more than four pages, you will be notified of the exact number of pages and cost for your approval before the copies are made.

Checks should be made payable to The City of Hagerstown.

Be sure to include your name, address and a daytime phone number with your request.

Requests are processed on a weekly basis with reports mailed on Friday. No requests will be processed on demand. No reports will be faxed.
