The Parks Board is an advisory board to the Mayor, City Council and City Administrator pertaining to the development and use of park facilities in Hagerstown´s city limits.

The Board of Parks consisits of seven members who are appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council, the voting members. Members must be residents, taxpayers or those who conduct business in the City of Hagerstown. Each voting memeber shall serve for two years or until a successor has been duly appointed and qualified.

The Parks Board meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 5:00pm in the Parks & Recreation office at Fairgrounds Park, located at 351 N. Cleveland Ave, Hagerstown. (If the third Monday is a City observed holiday, the meeting is postponed until the following Monday.) Meetings are not held in June, July or August.
