Built in 1932 by private individuals who could not afford the new country club, the Municipal Golf Course´s old layout has a maturity new courses cannot equal. Not much has changed since the City of Hagerstown took over the operation in 1947.

This par 34, public 9-hole course offers a competitive round of golf which includes distictive par 3's and 4's, while giving golfers the option of walking or riding. This 2,550 yard course has lovely mountain views seen from holes #1 and #8. Hole #2 is a par 5 and 488 yards. Hole #5 is thought to be the most challenging green because of the blind fairway shots.
