1. How can I reserve a pavilion or playing field at one of the parks?

Beginning on the 1st business day of January, we start accepting reservations for use of our facilities. Pavilion reservations are accepted for City Park, Fairgrounds Park, Hager Park, Pangborn Park and Wheaton Park. For rental reservations, call the Parks & Recreation office at (301) 739-8577, extension 169. Additional information can be found on the City's Facility Rental Overview.

2. How can I tell whether or not a particular park pavilion has electric service, a BBQ grill, nearby restrooms, or nearby parking?

All park pavilions available for rent have electric service and a grill; the distance to restrooms and/or parking depends upon the particular park and pavilion in question. 3. How much does it cost to get married in the park?

Pavilions can be rented, however, we do not accept reservations for specific areas such as the rock springs, fountains, gardens, etc.

4. Are dogs allowed in the parks?

Dogs are permitted in all City parks provided they abide by the Washington County Animal Control Ordinance, are kept on a 6-foot leash, and follow the posted rules. Dogs are not permitted in children’s play areas and pavilions occupied by others. For more information, see Dog Policy and Dog Park
