Trash and Recycling Collection 2012
Program Improvements

The City is improving our recycling and trash collection program in the following ways:

  1. SIMPLE:   Starting Monday January 2, 2012, trash collection, recycling collection and yard waste collection will occur the SAME night.   In other words, one night a week you will set out EVERYTHING.   The night is the same as your current recycling night.   If unsure, click HERE to see the zone maps and FIND your 2012 collection calendar on the right side menu.

  2. CONVENIENT:   Recyclables (glass, plastic, aluminum, paper, cardboard, etc) can all be placed together in one container, no more separating paper from other items!   The City will deliver a roll-out container with a lid for recyclables to your residence in April 2012.  You may keep your current blue and green bins if you wish, but no need to separate paper from the other items starting the week of  January 2, 2012

  3. REWARDING:   You can EARN REWARDS for discounts when you purchase items or you can donate to schools…. simply by recycling!  Watch for program details in early 2012.

The annual cost of the program will DECREASE $8 ($2 less per quarter) from the current rate. You will see this savings on bills issued after January 1, 2012.
