City Ethics Commission
The City of Hagerstown established a City Ethics Commission and is seeking applicants to serve on the Commission. Applicants must be residents of the City of Hagerstown.
Responsibilities include:
- Devise, receive and maintain forms in this chapter and
the Code of Ethics
a. Business Entity Disclosure
b. Financial Disclosure statement
c. Candidate Financial Disclosure statement (33-4 B)
d. Lobbying Disclosure Statement (33-5)
e. Year end report filed by January 31 (33-5 C)
- Provide published advisory opinions to persons subject to this chapter and Chapter 33
- To process and make determinations as to complaints filed by any person alleging violations of this chapter and Chapter 33
- Conduct public information program for the purposes and application of this chapter and Chapter 33
- To recommend and coordinate ongoing education for the applicable individuals
- To meet at least quarterly to conduct the business described
Each member will serve five year terms, but no more than two consecutive terms.
