Technology and Support Services is a multifaceted department providing utility billing and tax-related services to our citizens as well as information technology functions and support to the City of Hagerstown. The departments making up this division include:
UTILITY CUSTOMER SERVICE - (301) 790-4160
This department is available to answer a wide range of questions concerning City Light and Water/Wastewater accounts. These include: charges, rates, moving into/out of the service area, payment plans, taking payments, and other issues regarding utility services. Online payment and account information retrieval is available through the Utility ONLINE PAYMENT PORTAL .
TAX DEPARTMENT - (301) 739-8577, Ext 702
You may inquire / pay your real estate / personal property taxes in City Hall - 1st Floor during normal business hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday). You may also inquire / pay your bill online at TAX PAYMENT PORTAL.
COMMUNICATIONS - (301) 739-8577, EXT 111
This group maintains the City website as well as all audio/visual/print/electronic information generated by the City. This department handles all Public Information Requests, as well as programming on the City's cable government channel 25.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - (301) 797-4071
All internal technology needs of the City are addressed by this department. Networking / PC Support / Software Application Support / Voice & Data Communications are managed by IT staff.
